Equitable Stroke Control(ESC)
To be in compliance with SCGA rules for scoring during a Tournament. All posted scores will be adjusted in accordance to SCGA Tournament rules and posted to the SCGA site. The adjusted gross score is for posting purposes only; it will not affect the final score of the Tournament. Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) is the downward adjustment of individual hole scores for handicap purposes, in order to make handicaps more representative of a player’s potential ability, and sets a maximum number that a player can post on any hole depending on the player’s course handicap. ESC is used only when a player’s actual or most likely score exceeds his maximum number based on the following table. Check your course handicap on the ESC chart in order to see how many strokes you are allowed to take per hole. For example, if after the calculations your handicap is 34; due to ESC you can take a maximum of 9 strokes per hole. During your round, you take an 11 on a par-5 hole, so when ESC is applied, you would post a 9 for that hole. Therefore, you deduct two strokes from your total 18-hole score. If your gross score was 100, then your adjusted gross score is 98, and that is the score you would post.
Cancellation Policy
To keep the Club cost down, the Club will be implementing a Cancellation policy. Once a club member has committed to play in a tournament verbally and wants to cancel, he has to do that 7 days prior to the Tournament Play date. If he fails to do that, he will be charged the fee for the tournament. Thanks for your co-operation.
